Himachal Pradesh NEET UG Counselling 2025: Dates (Soon), Registration, Eligibility, Fees, Cutoff

Himachal Pradesh NEET Counselling 2024 aims to fill MBBS and BDS seats in various state medical and dental colleges. It’s conducted in rounds, and the process kicks off after the NEET results are declared. The registration for Himachal Pradesh NEET Counselling 2024 second round is open. Candidates can fill in their choices and preferences for colleges and quotas on 17th and 18th September. Provisional seat allocation for the second round will be announced on 28th September and final seat allocation on 30th September. Students must join their allotted colleges between 1st and 3rd of October. The vacancy list for the third round will be displayed on 4th October. HP NEET Counselling 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Bonafide Himachali Students Must be a bona fide Himachali student or the child of a bona fide Himachali, regardless of place of schooling.
Children of Central Government Employees Must be a bonafide Himachali student or the child of a bona fide Himachali, regardless of place of schooling.
Children of Regular Employees of HP Government/HPU/Autonomous Bodies Must be the child of a regular employee of Himachal Pradesh Government/H.P. Government Undertakings/Autonomous bodies wholly owned by Himachal Pradesh Government.
Management Quota Seats Must be a qualified candidate for NEET-UG 2024. There is no requirement to be a bonafide Himachali for this category.

Himachal Pradesh NEET Counselling Procedure

Counselling Registrations: 

Step 1: Visit the Website

  • Go to the official website of Atal Medical and Research University: www.amruhp.ac.in 
  • Click on "Admissions" or "Apply for Admission" depending on the website layout.
  • Find the link for "Apply for MBBS/BDS Counselling" and click on it.

Step 2: Register & Verify

  • Fill in the details carefully:
  • Admission Quota & Category
  • Name, Father's Name, NEET Roll No. (as per NEET 2024)
  • Email ID (click "Verify Email" to confirm)
  • Mobile Number (click "Verify" to receive and enter OTP)
  • Captcha code
  • Use your verified email and mobile number for registration. Remember these credentials.
  • Upload a recent passport-sized photograph (40kb, white background, no cap/goggles, 80% face coverage).
  • Upload your signature (20kb, blue/black pen, not capital letters).

Step 3: Fill the Application Form

  • Personal Details: Fill in your personal information accurately.
  • Address Details: Provide your current address and contact details.
  • Eligibility & Category: Choose your category carefully (reserved or unreserved). You cannot change this later.
  • Qualification Details: Enter your academic qualifications from the 10th onwards.
  • Document Upload: Scan and upload required documents as per prospectus instructions (maximum size 1024bona KB).
  • Fee Payment: Pay the application fee online through the integrated payment gateway (Debit/Credit Card, Net Banking, UPI).

Step 4: Review & Submit

  • Carefully review all the information you entered. You cannot edit it after submission.
  • Read and agree to the terms and conditions.
  • Click "Submit" to finalize your application.
  • Take a printout of the application form for your records.

Counselling Process - State Quota

To take admission for state quota MBBS/BDS seats in Himachal Pradesh, follow these steps after the NEET 2024 results are announced:

  • Check the Prospectus: The Atal Medical and Research University (AMRU), Himachal Pradesh, will release the prospectus for MBBS/BDS state quota admissions on its official website https://amruhp.ac.in.
  • Online Application: Fill out the online application form available on the AMRU website. The registration fees are as follows: General/NRI & Other Categories: Rs. 2000/- and SC/ST/PH Categories: Rs. 1000/-
  • Merit List & Choice Filling: After submitting your application, AMRU will publish a merit list of registered candidates. Following this, you must fill in your choice of colleges and courses online.

Counseling Rounds

  • First Round: Conducted online. If you are provisionally allocated a seat, download the Provisional Allotment Letter from the AMRU website. Report to the assigned college with original documents and the application confirmation copy for verification. Complete the joining formalities by submitting the required documents, medical fitness certificate, and fee payment.
  • Second Round: Also online. If seats remain vacant after the first round, a second round of counseling will be held. Candidates who didn’t register in the first round can do so in the second round. You can upgrade your seat from the first round during this round. Token amounts for participation are:
    • Government Medical Colleges: Rs. 10,000/- (Rs. 5000/- for SC/ST/OBC)
    • Government Dental Colleges: Rs. 20,000/-
    • Private Dental Colleges: Rs. 50,000/- (State & Management quota)
    • MMMC Kumarhatti, Solan: Rs. 1,00,000/- (State & Management Quota)
  • Third Round: If seats remain vacant after the second round, a third round of counseling will be conducted. You will need to fill in fresh choices online. Candidates who are satisfied with their previous allotments do not need to participate. Token fees must be paid to participate, except for those who joined a seat in the previous rounds.
  • Stray Vacancy Round: After the first three rounds, if seats remain vacant, a stray vacancy round will be held. Only candidates not admitted to any college can participate by filling out new choices online. The token fee must be paid, and no inter-college shifting is allowed during this round.

MCC NEET UG Counselling Registration Process - All India Quota

Step Description
Step 1: Update Contact Information Ensure that the email address and mobile number provided during the NEET UG application process are accurate. These will be used for MCC registration and communication.
Step 2: Await Communication Step 5: Register on the MCC Website
Step 3: No Changes Allowed Requests to change the registered mobile number or email address will not be entertained by the MCC of DGHS, MoHFW.
Step 4: Recommended Device and Browser Use a laptop or computer with the latest versions of Chrome, Internet Explorer, Firefox, Windows, or iOS for registration and choice-filling to avoid technical complications.

Step 6: Sandes App for OTP Download the Sandes app to receive OTP on the registered phone number for registration.
Step 7: Upload Essential Certificates After the declaration of NEET UG results, candidates must mandatorily upload essential certificates as per the requirements specified by the MCC.
Step 8: Physical Reporting Carry original documents during physical reporting to the allotted college to confirm seat allotment and complete admission procedures.

 

MCC NEET UG Counselling Process - All India Quota

MCC NEET UG Counselling Process includes four rounds, each with its own set of rules and procedures. The counselling process begins with Round 1 & concludes with a Final Stray Vacancy Round, where remaining vacant seats are filled through fresh registrations, ensuring all available positions are occupied. Candidates must upload essential certificates after each round’s result declaration to facilitate the verification process. Below is the step-by-step process for each round,

Round 1:

  • a) Main Counseling Registration: Candidates register and pay a non-refundable registration fee along with a refundable security deposit.
  • b) Choice Filling and Locking: Candidates choose their preferred colleges and courses and lock their choices.
  • c) Seat Allotment: Seats are allocated based on choices and merit.
  • d) Publication of Round 1 Result: Results are published on the MCC website.
  • e) Uploading Essential Certificates: Candidates upload necessary certificates after the result declaration.
  • f) Physical Reporting: Candidates report to allotted colleges with original documents. They can opt for an upgrade to Round 2 if desired.

Round 2:

  • a) Eligibility for Round 2: Candidates not allotted any seat in Round 1 or not reported, need not register again.
  • b) Fresh Registration: New registration for Round 2 with full payment for those who didn’t register in Round 1.
  • c) Fresh Choice Filling: Candidates submit new choices for Round 2.
  • d) Seat Allotment Round 2: Allocation of seats based on choices and merit.
  • e) Publication of Round 2 Result: Results announced on the MCC website.
  • f) Uploading Essential Certificates: Candidates upload the required certificates after the result declaration.
  • g) Physical Reporting: Candidates report to allotted colleges with original documents. They can opt for an upgrade to Round 3 if desired.

Round 3:

  • a) Eligibility for Round 3: Candidates not allotted any seat in Round 1 or Round 2 need not register again.
  • b) Fresh Registration for Round 3: New registration for Round 3 with full payment for those who haven’t registered before or resigned from Round 1 or Round 2.
  • c) Fresh Choice Filling: Candidates submit new choices for Round 3.
  • d) Seat Allotment Round 3: Allocation of seats based on choices and merit.
  • e) Publication of Round 3 Result: Results announced on the MCC website.
  • f) Uploading Essential Certificates: Candidates upload necessary certificates after the result declaration.
  • g) Physical Reporting: Candidates report to allotted colleges with original documents. Once joined, no further upgrades or resignations are allowed.

Final Stray Vacancy Round:

  • Fresh registrations are conducted for vacant seats.
  • Conducted for AIQ, Deemed University seats, and as per Supreme Court directions.
  • Candidates allotted seats must join; failure to do so results in debarment from NEET for one year.

Bond Policy for MBBS/BDS Admissions

As part of the admission process for MBBS/BDS courses under the All India Quota or State Quota, candidates are required to adhere to a bond policy upon securing a seat.

  • Document Submission: Once a candidate is admitted, their original documents must be deposited with the respective college. These documents are retained by the college as part of the admission process.
  • Bond Agreement: Candidates must sign a bond agreement after the final round of counseling. This bond, attested by a Notary and written on a non-judicial stamp paper of Rs. 10/-, serves as a commitment that the candidate will not leave the course after the last cut-off date of admission.
  • Penalty for Course Withdrawal: If a candidate decides to leave the course after the last cut-off date, they will be required to pay the tuition fees for the entire duration of the course. This ensures that the seat is not wasted and covers the financial loss that might occur due to the late withdrawal.
