The counselling process facilitates the admission of successful candidates to MBBS/BDS courses offered by medical and dental colleges across India.
The DGHS will conduct the NEET counseling on 15% of AIQ seats, while state counseling authorities will oversee the NEET UG 2025 online counselling for state quota seats. Candidates who pass the NEET exam for UG courses will be able to choose from both types of counselling. The choice-locking step includes choosing the preferred courses and colleges. Candidates will see a list of the colleges for which they are eligible. Then they are advised to select the preferences in order of their priority.
Candidates should be careful when submitting their choices and double-check all the options. Once the choices are locked, or the dates of choice filling for counselling are over, they will not be able to make any further changes.

The MCC releases the seat allotment list that highlights the admission seat status made by the candidates for the respective round. After processing all the choices and the merit list, authorities will announce the NEET seat allotment result.
